Super options - Crediting rates
A range of investment options are available for you to make a choice that suits you and your goals. With a choice of six Pre-mixed and five DIY investment options, you can mix and match your investments to create a strategy that suits your needs.
The Pre-mixed investment options are designed with the medium to longer-term in mind. They invest across a range of asset types to help reduce the impact of short-term falls in share markets or other asset classes.
If you are considering switching investment options based on shorter term returns, further help is available through Media Super on 1800 640 886.
Media Super merged with Cbus on 9 April 2022 and as a result, pre-existing Media Super investment options were closed and Media Super members were transferred to equivalent Media Super branded investment options under United Super Pty Ltd. The historical performance displayed prior to this date relates to Cbus investment options and does not incorporate the performance of Media Super. Media Super members received a Successor Fund Transfer Exit Statement prior to merging with Cbus, detailing the performance of their Media Super investment options. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

Historical crediting rates: for the daily/weekly periods shown below
Investment performance is based on the crediting rate, which is the investment return minus investment fees and costs, transaction costs and investment-related taxes and until 31 January 2020, the percentage-based administration fee. Excludes fees and costs that are deducted directly from members’ accounts. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
For the Indexed Diversified investment option only - This investment option is invested into a range of investments called unit trusts as well as a small allocation to cash investments which form part of the investment option. The unit trusts release daily unit prices which determines most of the daily crediting rate and the investment return for this investment option.
At the end of March, June, September, and December each year, unit trusts can distribute income payments to the Fund. During these times, a unit price will not be released for a short number of days. This can cause the crediting rate for the Indexed Diversified investment option to show a crediting rate return of 0.00%. During these periods, there is still a very small investment return attributed to the allocation to the cash component of the investment option. This amount would be visible if the crediting rates was shown to four decimal places on our website.
Once the income payments have been calculated and processed, the unit prices are released, and the investment returns of the unit trusts (for the full period) are captured in the next daily crediting rate. The regular daily crediting rate updates will also resume on our website, until the next quarter end.
